Dolphins Swim Off Long Island

Tuesday June 30, 2009
Apparently everyone loves Long Island's waters, including a pod of frolicking dolphins. A few days ago, Fox News reported that dolphins were seen off Kings Point, and Newsday ran an article, "Dolphins Continue Cruising Long Island's North Shore." The article states that 150-200 dolphins were observed off Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington and Northport last week. And Sunday, dolphins were seen off Oyster Bay.

If you're a boater and you see a pod of dolphins, remember to keep your distance to make sure we'll continue to be visited by these wonderful creatures.
