Wednesday July 1, 2009
To celebrate Independence Day, The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary & Audubon Center, 134 Cove Road, Oyster Bay, will present a program on Sunday, July 5, from 1 to 2 p.m. for all ages. Learn about native animals, and find out what our forefathers thought about red-tailed hawks, great horned owls, and other native creatures. Fee: $3 for non-members, free for members.

For more information, call (516) 922-3200 or go to the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary & Audubon Society.

Please go to To Fourth of July to learn more about celebrations on Long Island. And for more Long Island events in July, please see my July Calendar of Events.
