An indie film with a star-studded cast ---including Katie Holmes, Anna Paquin, Elijah Wood, Josh Duhamel, Adam Brody and others--- is being shot on the North Fork this month and next. The Romantics, a film based on the novel of the same name by Galt Niederhoffer, tells the story of seven former college students who get together years later at a wedding. A wedding scene has been shot at the Old Field Vineyards in Southold and a future scene will be against the backdrop of the historic Bethany Cemetery, next to the Mattituck Presbyterian Church.This isn't the first time Long Island has been a backdrop for films.
