It doesn't seem all that long ago when I wrote a blog post about Mega Millions Jackpot Winners from Long Island. Now there are even more winners on Long Island. On April 14, 2010, Yolanda Vega awarded $4,000,000 in prizes to Suffolk County's three newest Lottery millionaires. The winners are brothers --Jose Melgar from Central Islip and Miguel Melgar from Bayshore--- who are splitting a $3,000,000 Fat Wallet prize and a Christine Weber from Babylon who won the top prize on Win $1,000 a Week for Life.
Jose Melgar bought his winning ticket at the 7-Eleven on Carlton Avenue in Central Islip on March 14th. Weber's mother, Peggy, bought the winning ticket at the Gardiner Manor Wine & Liquor store on Sunrise Highway in Bayshore. She gave it to her daughter inside a card on Easter Sunday.
