I received the following message from the Sierra Club LI Group:

In spite of the herculean efforts of many citizens, Congress has recessed for the summer without taking any action to solve the problem of climate change. That means: a) we need to be louder and b) we need more voices.

The *Sierra Club* invites you to join us for a Climate Activist Training workshop conducted by dedicated climate activist Lauren Schuster(*NYPIRG*). It's open to anyone interested in adding or strengthening their voice in the effort to get our government to adopt meaningful legislation.

The workshop will include a deeper look at the science of climate change, tools for influencing elected officials (e.g. letter writing) and a how-to on imparting this knowledge to others. Learn how to become a more effective advocate for the earth's climate!
