Many Long Island Museums Offer Free Admission on Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day

Museum Day is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian Media where participating museums allow free admission to those holding tickets downloaded from the Smithsonian Museum Day website. This year, the event falls on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Museums across the country are participating, and there's no dearth of venues on Long Island.

Go to the Smithsonian Museum Day website and print out a Museum Day Ticket which provides free admission for one person plus a guest for only one of the participating museums. There is only one ticket allowed per household.

On Long Island, the following museums will participate in Smithsonian Museum Day:
