Bowling Into The New Year

Looking for something different to do this New Year's Eve? Bowl Long Island, 138 West Avenue, Patchogue, NY, a 40-lane bowling center that recently underwent a million dollar renovation, is featuring its annual New Year's Eve Extreme Bowling Bash with two different packages to choose from.

From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Extremely Deluxe Extreme Bowling Bash includes four hours of extreme black light bowling, with a mix of classics and today's hits playing in the background. The package includes complimentary shoe rental, New Year's Eve favors, celebratory toast and a buffet. All ages are welcome. (Bumpers available on request, so even the youngest bowlers can score.) Adults: $35 per guest; Juniors: $20 per guest.

From 8:30 p.m. -12:30 a.m., the Strike in the New Year Bargain Bowl package includes 4 hours of extreme black light bowling, complimentary shoe rental, today's hit music, a large cheese pizza, a pitcher of beer or soda, and the big midnight countdown. Flat Rate: $75 per lane, up to six people per lane.

Bowl Long Island features a fully stocked bar with holiday drink cocktails for $3. and twofer pints of beer after 10 p.m. They also have a new game room with arcade classics as well as pool.

We saw this event posted in a few places and checked it out this evening. We had a blast with our 3-year-old! (Our 6-month-old was a little more nonplussed!)

Great recommendation. There should be more stuff like this for families with small kids. Thanks for looking out for the families!
