Going into the city or to other parts of Long Island on MLK Day, Monday, January 16, 2012? Then take note: the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) will be operating on a holiday schedule with 37 extra trains to and from Penn Station on various branches. Off peak fare will be in effect the entire day.
