Fall features a wealth of festivals on Long Island, NY, and here are a few that are scheduled for this weekend:
- Harbes Family Farm's Family Harvest Festival will feature a corn maze, pony rides, face painting, hayrides, live music and much more. Try your hand... uh, feet.... at grape stomping or enter the Lucy Look Alike contest.
- Fall Family Festival at Coe Hall Mansion, Planting Fields Arboretum, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. The breathtaking dahlia garden will be in full bloom. Halloween trick or treat for the kids, Halloween costume parade, a bounce house, candy apples, cider and pies, carriage rides on Sunday, pumpkin painting, pony rides and much more. - The Fifth Annual - A Taste of Port Jefferson from noon to 4 p.m., at the Port Jefferson Village Center, 101-A East Broadway, Port Jefferson Village, overlooking the harbor and Harborfront Park. Sample some of the food, desserts, wine and beer. Over 30 local restaurants are participating. Tickets: $40 per person in advance/$45 per person at the door. (Groups of 10 or more discounted to $30 in advance.)
