Follow me on:

Thyme Restaurant & Cafe Bar, 8 Tower Place, Roslyn, NY is participating in Long Island's $24.95 Restaurant Week which started yesterday. They ae extending their free-for-children-under-10 meals (for those without power) until this Friday, November 9, 2012, and you are welcome to bring in your electronics to charge them. Coffee and tea are FREE through Friday, and they invite people to come in to sit and charge while keeping warm.

They also invite everyone to donate any non-perishable, ready-to-eat food items which they will drop off at a local food pantry.

If any readers out there know of other places in Nassau and Suffolk that are collecting food items, or of places that allow people to charge their electronics, please leave a comment below or e-mail me at longisland.guide@about.com so I can share this information with our readers. Thank you.
