What a bunch of idiots and waste of tax payer dollars. Gun buy backs only take firearms out of closets and basements. Criminals love unarmed citizens and will never turn in their weapons. Great fictional program for political relations points. Liberal play acting with a zero sum gain for a reduction in violent crime.

What they should be doing is training citizens to protect themselves and approving concealed carry for all qualified citizens. There should be teacher training programs in self defense using mace, clubs and hand to hand skills. We need strict discipline and respect returned to our schools.
Maybe all or a large percentage of our teachers should be peace officers or returning military veterans. It’s time to move liberals out of teaching and politics and bring in Americans that live and work in the real world. Police and military should be involved in our educational system teaching citizenship and Constitutional responsibilities. Problem children should be identified early and removed to special schools with higher security and training programs.
