On Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Babylon Village, representatives of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) will join Babylon Helps, a coalition of civic organizations and religious groups in the village to give insurance assistance and other resources to residents of Nassau County who are recovering from Superstorm Sandy.
Nassau County residents can meet with these groups in the department's Mobile Command Center, which will be stationed at the American Legion Hall, 22 Grove Place, in Babylon Village.
DFS representatives will be available to help homeowners, business owners and renters with insurance-related issues, and will answer questions and help resident understand issues related to insurance policies.
