Children's Museum of the East End
The Children's Museum of the East End (or CMEE, pronounced See Me) is located in Bridgehampton. It features educational and interactive exhibits that teach children about the eastern end of Long Island.
Clark Botanic Gardens
This 12 acre museum is home to many kinds of trees, shrubs, and garden plants. Located in Albertson, it's run by the Town of North Hempstead Department of Parks and Recreation. They present many public programs, including hand-on children's activities.
The Cradle of Aviation Museum
Explore Long Island's aviation history. This museum is located in Garden City.
Garvies Point Museum and Preserve

Old Westbury Gardens

Tackapausha Museum and Preserve
Operated by the Nassau County Department of Recreation and Parks and located in Seaford. It is home to an exhibit of live Egyptian fruit bats. The Web site is very difficult to read, but you will get hours, fees, and directions.
Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary
