Guide Review - Long Island Children's Museum
The Long Island Children's Museum relocated to its current facility in Mitchel Center in February 2002. That move brought with it several new exhibits, but the old favorites, like Bubbles and Communication Station, are there too. The larger facility also allowed for improvements to some older exhibits. An expanded Changes and Challenges lets you experience the challenges faced by those with limited abilities. New exhibits include CLIMB-IT@LICM, a two-story climbing structure, Sandy Island, where you can form a beach with rolling waves, Bricks and Sticks, a place to explore a variety of building materials, and Music, where you can learn how music is made. Tot Spot provides a safe place for young children and parents to play.
