African American Highlights from the Readers Digest Association Collection at Hofstra University
Emily Lowe Gallery on South Campus
The show will feature 36 master works of painting, printmaking, drawing, photography and sculpture by 19 African American Masters from the 20th century to the present.

February 1 through February 29

Edward Bates African-American Theme Paintings at Brentwood Public Library
A display of Mr. Bates' works and those of his students, who are senior citizens.

Monday, February 4 through Friday, February 29

Slavery and Its Long Island Connections at Suffolk Community College, Eastern Campus
Orient Building, Lyceum Gallery
Reception on Monday, February 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. with a talk beginning at 4:30.
