Easter Sunday falls on April 12 this year, but there are also lots of events before and after that date. Here are some great places to take the kids for Easter on Long Island.

- What: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Enjoy a full buffet that includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns and more. Take a complimentary picture with the Easter Bunny.

- What: Mr. Easter Bunny. Kids will enjoy the Broadhollow Theatre Companys performance about Billy and Betty and their father, the mayor of Easterville.
When: 1 p.m.

- What: The Sweetbriar Nature Centers Spring Festival includes Easter egg hunts, face painting, wildlife programs, relay races and more. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to greet the kids.
When: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

- What: The Adventures of Peter Rabbit. Children will love seeing the story of Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton Tail and Peter coming to life onstage.
When: 11 a.m.

- What: Ukrainian Eggs. This event, suitable for all ages, will explore the techniques used in the Ukraine to craft beautifully decorated eggs. Youll take home your own colorful wooden egg that wont break.
When: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Long Island Childrens Museum, 11 Davis Avenue, Garden City
Cost: Free with museum admission

Saturday, April 11
- What: Tanger Outlets First Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Festival
When: 9 a.m. sharp for the egg hunt. Afterwards, until 2 p.m., the kids can enjoy facepainting, arts and crafts and more.
Where: Tanger Outlets at The Arches, Deer Park, at the center Piazza near the fountain.
Cost: **FREE** but you need to register at 9 a.m.

- What: Egg-stravaganza! For children ages two-and-a-half to 10 years old with their parents. Help the staff find and collect strange eggs and take home whatever is inside.
When: 1-2 p.m.
Where: The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center, 134 Cove Road, Oyster Bay
Cost: $5.00 members/$8.00 nonmembers per child. Registration required.

- What: Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The egg hunts will take place throughout the day, and Whiskers the bunny will greet children. Children can also go on a hayride and see farm animals.
When: 12 noon to 4 p.m.
Where: At the nearby Queens Farm Museum, 73-50 Little Neck Parkway, Floral Park, near the Queens/Nassau border
