How Safe Is Your Drinking Water?

Did you ever wonder just how safe your drinking water is? When you turn on the tap, whether for a cool glass of water to quench your thirst, or to fill a pot for cooking, it's a good idea to know the quality of your area's tap water.

There's an easy way to identify what's in your tap water. Go to the website of the Environmental Working Group. Look for the box that says, "What's in your water?" Type in your zip code or the name of your water company and hit "Search." That'll take you to a page with information on any pollutants that may have been found in your area's tap water.
