The Bailey Arboretum sprawls across 40 verdant acres in Lattingtown, on Long Island's North Shore, with trails winding in and out of the woods, with gardens and ponds throughout. Look closely and you might see bullfrogs, snapping turtles and more in the ponds and different species of birds migrate to and from the arboretum, while others make it their year-round home.

The best part is that the arboretum is open every day, 365 days of the year, and it's absolutely FREE to enter. However, if you love the idea of pristine outdoor spaces on Long Island, you're more than welcome to give a donation.
