Book Revue - Independent Book Store in Huntington:

From the outside, Book Revue looks like a small boutique, but step inside the doors and you'll find yourself in the middle of a 17,500-square foot book emporium featuring everything from rare, vintage books to today's best sellers. Book Revue first opened in 1977, but in a much smaller "edition." Since then, it has expanded to five times its original size, and is currently one of the largest independent book stores in the United States.

More Than A Book Store:

Book Revue is more than a place to find your favorite reading material. It's a cultural and community center as well. From children's programs to book discussion groups, workshops and more, the store bustles with a literary vibe that entertains as well as educates. There's even a small cafe where you can buy snacks, coffee, tea and soft drinks.

Books for Children and Adults:

Their children's book section features titles at 50 percent or more off the list price, and this is true of brand new releases as well. They feature a weekly Toddler Time every Tuesday at 11 a.m. Your children will enjoy listening to stories, creating crafts and singing and dancing. There's even a toy "fire engine" where kids can sit and read their favorite books. The programs are FREE and there's no need to register.

A Gathering Place For Famous Authors:

The list of authors who've captivated Book Revue's audiences with readings and book signings is expansive. Lauren Bacall, Yogi Berra, Senator Barbara Boxer, Ray Bradbury, Elmore Leonard, Alan Dershowitz, Tony Bennett, Whoopi Goldberg, Alan Alda, J.K. Rowling, G. Gordon Liddy, Erin Brokovich, Jimmy Carter, Caroline Kennedy, Keith Hernandez, Alyssa Milano, Gary Null and many, many others have appeared at the store.

To learn more about Book Revue's author signings and other upcoming events, please call their event line at (800) 552-9440.

Buying and Selling Books:

In addition to selling books, Book Revue also purchases books and collections in good condition. In fact, they buy thousands of books each month. To find out more about selling your books to Book Revue, please email bobby@bookrevue.com or call (631) 271-1442.

Plentiful Parking:

If you can't find a parking spot right in front of the store, there's no need to give up on your dream of being surrounded by your favorite books. There are three municipal parking lots nearby. If you find a space with a meter, remember that you don't have to pay after 6 p.m. Bank parking lots that aren't chained off after closing are OK to park in at night.
