Northern Thrift
UPDATE: This great thrift shop in Huntington closed in the winter of 2009. I'm sure those who shopped there were sad to see it go. I'm leaving this up just to make sure everyone knows that it's not open. For similar bargains, check out two sister stores which have survived to this day: Island Thrift and Selden Thrift, listed below.

Unique Thrift Store - Westbury
525 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY, (516) 338-1760 (See next listing for their Levittown store.)
This store is the size of a supermarket and features just about everything you can think of: men's, women's and children's clothes. Almost all of the clothes are in good condiition and very clean. The prices range from super-cheap to reasonable. I passed up a $5.99 leather jacket from Lord & Taylor because it was a little big on me, but it certainly was an incredible price.
They also sell wedding dresses, shoes and boots, household goods, electronics, artwork, sports equipment, and all manner of tchotches for the kitchen and bathroom.
