Where to Get Married in Long Island Wine Country

By

Long Island wine country, on the island's East End, boasts a microclimate similar to that of Bordeaux, France. You'll find wonderful wineries and vineyards on the North Fork and some on the South Fork. Planning a future wedding? There's no need to rent a pricey space in Manhattan or beyond. Choose from the many reception sites in Long Island wine country.

Here are some options for a wonderful reception on the East End. And for other wedding reception ideas, see Weddings on Long Island.

1. Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard

2114 Sound Avenue
Baiting Hollow

BHFV produces a wide range of wines from their signature Merlot to Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling and more. Celebrate your wedding reception here, with up to 200 guests.

BHFV also has a horse rescue program. Started in 2007, the program has saved the lives of horses headed for the slaughterhouse. This includes "Sir Galahad," a descendant of the legendary "Man "O' War."

From Memorial Day through mid-November, BHFV offers pony rides for the kids. All profits go to help support the horse rescue program.

Treat yourself and up to 200 guests to a sumptuous reception at Bedell’s barn-style mahogany pavilion. Or choose from their other sites, including a fragrant lavender field, apple orchard or vineyard lawn. Or opt for the tasting room.
