You can enjoy meals for less at many Long Island, NY restaurants by purchasing discounted gift certificates for yourself or as gifts for your family and friends at Restaurant.com. Certificates entitle you to deeply discounted prices at local restaurants (and over 18,000 restaurants throughout the U.S.) For instance, you can purchase certificates for $10 to get $25 worth of meals at participating local restaurants, $40 for $100 worth of meals, and other offers. There are also occasional specials for even less at specific eateries.

How to Buy Gift Certificates at Restaurant.com
To buy a certificate for yourself or others, just go to restaurant.com (Buy direct) and on the left hand side of the home page, you'll see "Find a Restaurant and Save." Enter your zip code for a list of all participating restaurants in your area, or click on "Select a popular city" and select "Long Island, NY" for an extensive list of restaurants that honor Restaurant.com's certificates.

You'll be able to see the restaurant menus and you can make a free reservation online.

When you find a restaurant that you'd like to dine at for a discounted price, select this and a price amount, and add a certificate to your online shopping cart. Then complete your order and a confirmation with details will be e-mailed to you. (They'll ask you to take a survey, but you can skip that.) You'll receive a link to your printable certificate.

If for any reason you have trouble accessing your e-mail confirmation, you can always go to Restaurant.com and click on "My Account" on the upper right side of the home page, and then click on "View and Print Certificates."

How To Use Restaurant.com Certificates:
After you've printed out your certificate, present it to your server when you first place your order and they'll arrange everything for you.

Are There Any Certificate Restrictions?
Yes, some of Restaurant.com's certificates have specific restrictions, so pay close attention to the terms and restrictions set by each restaurant. Often, you'll be required to spend a specific amount (excluding tax and tip) before the certificate is valid. For example, you might have to order at least $35 worth of meals to be able to use your $25 certificate.

Also check to see if the restaurant you're interested in has any restrictions on the dates and times that you may use a certificate. Always read the fine print before making a purchase.

How Long Are Restaurant.com Certificates Valid?
Most of them are valid for one year from your date of purchase. But again, always check for any restrictions that restaurants list on the site before purchasing. Always read the fine print.
